The weekend prior to this wedding, I shot a wedding in Knysna where the ceremony part of the day was “unplugged”… This in short means that no guests were allowed to take any photographs with their phones or tablets while the ceremony was taking place. I really thought that was an amazing idea. There was no-one I had to compete with while taking images – and no random phones in my shot.
And then Amber told me that she is having a COMPLETE unplugged wedding – with no phone-or-any-other-device picture for the entire day – which means I had exclusive coverage of the entire day. I didn’t have to wake up to instagram filtered photos on social media and until I put something there for people to view, there was a great anticipation that filled the air. It was a brilliant idea and I hope all brides consider this option.
Wayne and Amber got married on their farm, The Meadows, in Hankey, EC, South Africa. They currently live in Cape Town and came home for this special all-white wedding under the trees.
The weather was perfect and the day even more so. A long table were set in their garden and guests filled the air with laughs and happiness while I documented the day with no posed photographs.
A double congratulation to you on your beautiful day. The top tier of their wedding cake was also the gender reveal of their baby on the way… Jack will be arriving in 2017!
It was lovely to be able to share it with you.
I loved EVERYTHING about this wedding.
